BOT Report for Tohora
The children of Tohora have settled well into the routines of the classroom and learning the goals.
The children are enjoying swimming and the “Catch Me If You Can” physical education programme with a specialist teacher. They are working hard with their reading both at home and at school.
Alex said “we are learning to float on the little flutterboard and to put our head down”.
Jack said “ we are learning to dive down to pick up rings”.
The children were particular interested in learning about the three different sorts of graphs – pie graphs, pictographs and bar graphs and what they could find our about the class by using them. Tohora have also been learning some Maths language. Some of their comments are below.
Angus said “ we are learning about statistics”.
Toby said “ we found out that the most common colour of reading bags in Tohora is blue”.
Mike said “ our favourite TV programme in Tohora is “Ben Ten”.
Marion said “our favourite toys in Tohora are Polly Pocket and remote control helicopters.
Some of Tohora’s artwork is on display in the classroom and in the portolio. Here are some comments about other art work we have been doing.
Renae said “ we learnt to draw our bodies and we also learnt to mix colours on paint and paper and using the paint tool on the computer.
Hannah said “red and yellow make green, red and blue make purple, red and yellow make orange”.
